When many hear the word "missionary", they think of stories from centuries back, men and women who left their homes to take the gospel to unknown lands. But missions is not history. It is today.  And it is the future.  Right here at the Nigeria Evangelical Missionary Institute (NEMI), Jos, I am experiencing firsthand how vital mission training is. We are being shaped not just in bible-knowledge, but also in character, cross-cultural understanding, and practical skills for ministry.  Why does this matter?  Because the world is more connected than ever, yet still deeply divided. Ethnic groups, languages, and cultures remain unreached with the gospel. Training helps us enter these communities with wisdom, humility, and unity like the early church did in Acts.  Missions is not always about "going far away".
